On December 17, the European Parliament adopted a legislative initiative report calling on the European Commission to propose measures to ensure the transparent, fair and safe use of artificial intelligence (AI) and algorithmic management (AM) in the workplace.
The announced EU Quality Jobs Act is expected to pick up on this central matter. With the participation of policy makers and representatives from the scientific research community and the trade union movement, this CESI@noon will take stock of the adopted report, discuss possible next steps by policy makers and social partners including as part of the forthcoming EU Quality Jobs Act, and examine which EU measures can be concretely expected from the EU to ensure that AI and AM can work for employers and employees alike.
