Graduated at the Latvian Medical Academy in 1992, Evija Palceja received a Doctor Degree as a paediatrician. In 1995, she joined the Children's Hospital Gailezers which is a part of Children's University Hospital since 2005. She woks as a Chief Physician there since 2008. In 2004, she obtained a Master Degree in Health Care Sciences and in 2007 a Professional Master Degree in Total Quality Management. She has been also the national coordinator of HOPE Exchange Programme in Latvia since 2007. Patient safety and risk management have been areas of high interest to her since 2006, year of her first participation to HOPE Exchange Programme in Denmark. |
