National trade unions need more young people involved, CESI Youth Representative

80 young delegates from Hungary gathered for the meeting organised by MKKSz. This meeting follows the CESI Youth camp which also took place in Hungary last year.

MKKSz Secretary General and CESI Vice President Péterné Boros invited the CESI Youth Representative to speak at the event. Matthäus Fandrejewski spoke about the importance of trade unions and the importance to have young workers represented. Focusing on the situation of youth unemployment in Hungary, with a high rate of 21.6%, and Europe generally, Matthäus highlighted good practices from other countries on getting young people into work.  The Youth Guarantee was also explained.

Ferenc Tóbiás, President of MKKSz Youth and Katalin Bíró described the work that MKKSz Youth has done in recent years. CESI welcomes this first meeting and encourages more member organisations to engage young workers as much as possible.

The Youth Representative would like to thank CESI Vice President and MKKSz Secretary General Péterné Boros for inviting CESI Youth to join the first Congress and for her ongoing support of MKKSz Youth and CESI Youth.
