National Police Alliance
The Alliance Police Nationale represents the national police force in France. Unaffiliated to any political party, Alliance seeks to work with governments and political parties in the interests of its members.
Established on 8 June 1995 by merging two former unions of (Syndicat Indépendant de la Police nationale SIPN and the Syndicat National des Enquêteurs et des Policiers d’Investigation SNEpi) Alliance National Police now has more than 30,000 members. By its nature is APN is closely linked with the institutions of the Republic, the Code of Ethics of the National Police and the principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Citizen. The APN defends the moral and professional interests of police in charge of keeping the public peace, carrying out investigations and public order.
The current Secretary General of the APN is Jean-Claude Delage.
