Brian Killoran is the Information and Referral Services Coordinator within the Immigrant Council of Ireland and has been with the organisation for over seven years. The ICI runs confidential information services that advise service users (approximately 10,000 per year) on all issues regarding the immigration system and access to rights and entitlements, as well as providing specific services to persons who are experiencing racism, domestic violence or who have been trafficked for the purposes of sexual exploitation. In addition, the ICI also providers support to public services on how to respond to the needs of migrants and how to adapt services to best support those from diverse backgrounds. Brian has extensive experience in direct service provision and has a particular interest in lobbying for procedural and policy changes within State and public bodies to ensure equal treatment and access for all.
