Peter HEESEN

CESI President, Germany
Peter Heesen was confirmed by the dbb Trade Union Congress in the Federal Office of the Chair-man in 2007. He represents the dbb beamtenbund und Tarifunion (civil servants' and collective bargaining union) in the public and directs the federal office. Proficiently, he is also responsible for all principal questions of professional policy as well as for education, media and organizational policy and for youth policy within the dbb Executive Board. Already, in his previous eight years in his former official responsible areas, civil servants policy, civil servants allowances and pension policies and education policy as dbb deputy chairman, he had seen for added stimulus. Peter Heesen is member of the German philologists Association (DPhV) within the dbb, which chairmanship he held from 2001 to 2003. Previously, he has since 1978 held various func-tions within the German philologists Association. Among other things, he was nine years Deputy National Chairman and twenty years chairman of the philologist‟ association of North Rhine- Westphalia. Initially acting President of CESI, Peter Heesen has been confirmed in 2008 in his capacity as president of CESI. He holds the president‟s office in the CESI together with Fritz Neugebauer (GÖD).
