14-11-2002: 4th meeting of the USSP

On 13th November 2002, the board of the USSP, the Union of the Trade Unions in the Public Service Sector held its fourth meeting in Brussels.
 
One main focus was put on the preparation of  the Troika-meeting of the Directors General responsible for Public Administration, which will take place in Elsinore on 26th November 2002. In addition, a representative of EIPA (European Institute of Public Administration) from Maastricht held a lecture on the reform of the Public Administration in Europe. Topics like Human Resource Management, Telework as well as Professional Training were covered. Furthermore, the participants of the meeting decided on the work programme for 2003. The main emphasis, among other things, will be put on the Social Dialogue, the upcoming Troika-meetings and the enlargement of the EU. Also, seminars will be organized for the reinforcement of selected topics.
